These production boundaries help protect important content and create a professional edge-to-edge result.
Extend backgrounds, colors and images to the bleed line whenever they are intended to print to the edge. For many small-format products, a typical bleed is 0.125 inch, but always follow the selected template.
The trim line represents the intended final cut size. Small production tolerances can occur, so avoid placing critical elements directly on this boundary.
Keep logos, text, QR codes and important details inside the safe area. A minimum of 0.125 inch inside trim is common; 0.25 inch is helpful when practical.
